Atelier's Go-To Makers for Textiles
Given that “Color, Pattern, Culture” is our mantra, it only makes sense that we are crazy about good textiles here at Atelier. From pillows to curtains to throws, and everything in between, textiles are an important tool for creating a mood and setting the tone of a space. In essence, they make the room come alive and round out the design.
If you’re wondering who our go-to textile makers are, you’re in luck. Although we often go the custom route, for this post (and just for you!) we’re pulling out our rolodex and letting you in on our favorite retail shops, some that you may know and some that may be new.
The Brass Bed
For high-end projects, we turn to The Brass Bed. Along with having an online shop, they conveniently have showrooms in Denver and Boulder - highly suggest paying them a visit for the best of what they have to offer! Known for bedding, Brass Bed is a fusion of retail and custom, which is one of the many reasons we love them. You can select from their premade textiles or you can have them assist you with a custom design. Here are a few of our favorite Brass Bed in-stock options:
Anthropologie
We all know Anthropologie has wonderful home and furniture products, but for Atelier, we find ourselves shopping them most often for curtains. Don’t get us wrong though, we do find awesome throw pillows, blankets, and bedding there too. No matter what we’re on the hunt for, it seems Anthropologie is always hitting all of our “Color, Pattern, Culture” marks. Check out some of our current favorites:
CB2 & Crate & Barrel
Shocker - CB2 makes one of our lists, AGAIN! Let’s face it… we just love CB2 and have zero shame about it. Textile-wise, CB2 is a go-to pillow shop for us. Regardless of time of year or trends, they always have an array of patterns, textures and colors, unlike some of CB2’s competitors that tend to be very neutral and predictable. Crate and Barrel, sister brand to CB2, also is a great go-to for pillows. Here is one of our current CB2 favorites:
Now, are you ready to give your home that extra “pop” with some colorful, playful curtains, throws, pillows and more? Whatever your design style, just make sure to have fun with your textile selections - use them to inspire the whole room’s design, add visual interest by mixing patterns, layer different textures to create contrast.
